About Us

Our Mission

Ride and have fun.

Our History

Black River Falls H.O.G. Chapter #5536 began with the first meeting on Sunday, March 20, 1994 at the American Legion Hall.  This chapter came to life in great part by the efforts of Byron Rutland, Mark Muth, Harley-Davidson H.O.G., and numerous dedicated motorcycle riders.

91 Members enrolled at the first meeting.  By May, 136 Members had enrolled.  Many original members are still with us today.

Several events that were started in the beginning are still with us – monthly meetings and newsletters, fundraisers, poker runs, picnics, holiday parties, safety riding courses.

However, the main chapter focus has always been safety and riding.  The first organized ride was June 25, 1994 to Red Wing, MN.  Since then, there have been many well-planned rides ranging from pre-meeting rides to overnight journeys, such as trips to Lambeau Field in Green Bay.  Annual rides include the Wheels-to-Wings in memory of members that have passed on, Labor Day weekend Flea Market ride, and Rockton Chicken-Q ride.  Stopping for ice cream is a favorite activity for all.  And when riding a Harley-Davidson, every view is a scenic view.

Currently meetings are held the second Saturday of the month at Al Muth Harley-Davidson Sales & Service in Black River Falls, WI.  Everyone is welcome to attend as a guest.  With approximately 75 members at this time, there are plenty of folks to share riding stories.  Meetings are casual, fun and friendly.

“As much as the Chapter depends on its officers, it is you the average member that actually is the fabric by which we will stand or fall.  I’m glad to see that the Chapter remains strong after all these years.  I am sure it will continue to do so.  We are one.  We are family.  I’m sure it will always be so.”   - Byron Rutland, first Chapter Director
